FAQs for Visitors

Is visiting allowed?
Yes! We love visitors. Welcome is one of the defining characteristics of Annunciation.

Is there a dress code?
Yes. Please, wear clothes. But seriously, dress how you will feel most comfortable. What was it that Jesus said? “And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are.”

May I bring my children?

SURE– the more the merrier! We have nursery care during the 10:00 am service (9:00 am  June-August)  and many children remain in the pew. Did we mention we have many young families at Annunciation? We aren’t too worried about kids making a little noise. Children in church make God happy. He’ll know they are there if He hears them.

I’m not familiar with the service, how will I know what to do?
EASY – we have a Sunday bulletin that contains the entire service so you may easily follow along.

Do I have to believe something special in order to attend?
Nope! One of the great things about Annunciation is that we are Accepting of everyone. Wherever you may be in your journey, it's OK with us. We don't pretend to have all the answers and you don't need to either! Isn't that awesome?! We don't even require any special super-secret handshake in order to take communion (aka Holy Eucharist). Jesus says, "Come as you are" - that's a little idea that changed the world called Grace.
