Vestry

The vestry is the governing body of this parish. Members are elected to three-year terms. The current members are listed under the Staff tab.

Education

The Education committee oversees the planning and scheduling of Christian Education for all ages. See detailed descriptions under the Education tab .

Building and Grounds

Also known as B&G, this group of men meets the third Saturday of every month at 9:00 am. This ministry serves to maintain, repair and improve the property in which we worship and hold our meetings. It sponsors cleanup and work days at the church, as well as asking for volunteer help with specific tasks. Some of the jobs call for knowledge and skill, but many simply require willing hearts and hands. Anyone who is interested in participating should contact Bill Attiyeh.

Finance

This committee establishes policy, procedures, and protocol for ensuring the church’s financial health. It oversees contracts, budgets, church spending, and financial record keeping. Parishioners who are interested in this ministry should contact Steve Haworth or call the church office at (847) 336-3730

Memorial Committee

This committee, which meets twice a year, is charged with the development, maintenance, and posting of a memorial gift list. The list provides a description and the cost of each item. Committee members develop specifications for items, make recommendations to the vestry for purchase, and secure such items when approved. If interested, contact Marge Hocking.

Newsletter

Magnificat is the newsletter of Annunciation of Our Lady Church; it is generally published on the first of the month (with combined editions for December / January and July / August). The newsletter contains parish news and announcements, as well as articles by clergy and other members of the parish. The deadline to submit material for a particular issue is the 20th of the preceding month. To submit an article, send it (in Microsoft Word format) to ian@talkendo.info.
